Warping at Midnight October 10, 2007

I have been having trouble sleeping of late. Usually when I get up at midnight or 1:00 or 3:00, I just go and watch TV and do some knitting. For some odd reason the other night, I guess I felt especially restless, I decided to get the ole rigid heddle loom out and warp it up.

Two things I have learned : 1. It is not a good idea to warp alone. My warp is loose in some areas, not to the point where I’ll have to cut it off the loom, but enough to be annoying while weaving. 2. Mohair really likes to stick to itself. I knew this before but it really came home to me when I have stripes of Mohair/Lincoln that I thought would make a fabulous warp because it is so strong and not at all soft.   Weaving is going slowing, but it is going.
