Charmed Knits by Alison Hansel is an  book of knitting patterns for Harry Potter fans.   Not authorized by JK Rowling, this book is still full of knitting magic.  In fact, my favorite part of the book is the introduction where Alison talks about how knitting is a kind of magic in and of itself.  There are a lot of good solid patterns, none which reach out and make me want to pick up the pointy sticks, but good patterns none the less.  Lots of patterns with stripes.   I have two favorites, the invisablity Shawl by Kerrie Allman, and the House Bookscarves by Laura Miller, neither of which are part of the knit-a-long, at least not yet.  I’ve had my eye on this scarfy bookmark for some time. They are definitely on my I want to do list.
