The nest installment in Grandma’s recipes

Tomato Pickles

1 cup coarse salt over 1 gal sliced tomatoes

Let stand overnight.  Drain.

To one gal tomatoes add 1/2 gal vinegar, 3 pints sugar, cinnamon, whole spice (all spice?), cloves to suit taste.  Let boil 5 min.  can and seal.
